Grammar / 文法

It’s easy to speak Japanese if you know some grammar. Here we will share with you our thoughts on some rules and how they work in actual communication.

We originally wrote these posts for those who have already studied standard textbooks like “Minna-no-Nihongo” or “Genki”. We tried to offer an approach to some grammar points from a different direction. Sometimes it clarified a matter for our students or reinforced their understanding.

However, we would also like those of you who have never learned grammar to read them. Whenever we can, we give a reason for a rule and present its connection to other rules so that you will see the rule is a part of a system. They will stay in your memory and come back freshly when you actually learn it in your book.

By the same token, despite some titles may make some posts look like written for a specific level, all the posts have something for everyone from absolute beginners to people at more advanced level.
